● About steels
Spring steel:
Primarily consists of medium to high-carbon steels, designed to achieve a balance of toughness and elasticity through proper heat treatments.
(Ex: 1065, 1060, 65Mn, 60Si2CrV, 60Si2Mn, 5160, 1566)
Tool steel:
Much tougher, and highly resilient to violent strikes. They are commonly a bit less elastic than a blade made from spring steel, but their unparalleled durability and strength make them stand out.
(Ex: T10, S7, 3V, 1095)

● About Bo-Hi
Bo-Hi: The grooves on each side of the blade. (Some of our blade has no Bo-Hi)
The main idea of digging grooves on the blade is to 1) adjust the barycenter, 2) make the blade lighter, and 3) improve the structural strength. (Not saying they are superior to ungrooved blades, different strokes for different folks)
We use the terms "Authentic " and "Imitation" to classify different Bo-Hi geometries.
- Authentic Bo-Hi: The Bo-Hi is hand-polished at its end or the tip of the blade, enhancing the blade's traditional aesthetic.
- Imitation Bo-Hi: The Bo-Hi is machine-crafted. While not affecting the blade's overall performance and maneuverability, this choice helps save your budget and enhances ease of maintenance, making the blade less prone to rust.
One thing to remember: katana with imitation Bo-Hi should never go beyond USD$250.

● About Yokote
We use the terms "Authentic " and "Imitation" to classify different Yokote geometries.
- Authentic Yokote: The tip of the blade is hand-polished into a polyhedron geometry, enhancing the blade's traditional aesthetic.
- Imitation Yokote: Not hand-polished. But, still, save your budget.
